Sr. Batch Scheduling Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise batch scheduling tools, including with Redwood RunMyJobs (or equivalent: SAP CPS by Redwood, Control-M, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, AutoSys).
• Strong knowledge of SAP batch architecture : SM36/SM37, background work processes, RFC connections, event-driven jobs, BW process chains, Solution Manager job documentation.
• Experience scheduling non-SAP workloads : database jobs (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA), file-based triggers, secure file transfer (SFTP/MFT), custom application workflows.
• Solid automation and scripting skills : Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, applied to building, maintaining, and optimizing scheduling workflows.
• Understanding of workflow design principles : dependencies, error handling, retries, parameterization, reusability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills , log analysis, and performance tuning of batch environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
