Role Overview
Ensure appropriate goods availability in stores and distribution centers while optimizing inventory, logistics cost, and profitability.
Use sales forecasts to plan stock and place appropriate orders across the distribution network.
Collaborate with suppliers to manage fulfillment and improve delivery performance.
Operational Activities
- Manage availability and stock levels for assigned articles, categories, suppliers, and locations.
- Place purchasing orders for stores, warehouses, distribution centers, depots, and hubs across all flow types.
- Improve delivery conditions, including lead times, delivery frequency, and minimum order quantities or values.
- Optimize orders and supplier conditions to achieve target saturation levels.
- Resolve planning-tool exceptions with internal departments and suppliers.
- Manage open orders, supplier delivery schedules, push orders, customer orders, and product lifecycle transitions.
Continuous Improvement
- Optimize fulfillment efficiency across the logistics network.
- Reduce out-of-stocks and overstock and help implement solutions for recurring issues.
- Coordinate delivery plans with logistics colleagues to meet capacity constraints and reduce costs.
