Role Overview
Join the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering Financial Intelligence Unit Triage team.
Review alerts across manual and automated workstreams and support ML/TF risk mitigation.
The role is a 10-month fixed-term position.
AML Triage and Investigation
- Identify high-risk clients and suspicious or unusual transaction patterns.
- Support investigative tasks related to money laundering and terrorist financing risk mitigation.
- Analyze client relationships under the CIBC Client Risk Assessment Standard.
- Assess and address risks posed to CIBC by clients while complying with regulatory requirements.
- Support development of junior investigators through knowledge sharing and investigative best practices.
Regulatory Compliance
- Research new and pending laws, regulations, and industry commitments.
- Identify, assess, and communicate changing regulatory requirements and organizational risks.
- Work with business management to support a strong regulatory compliance culture.
- Consult on, oversee, and monitor complex or contentious regulatory compliance issues.
- Draft action plans for non-compliance issues and provide recommendations.
