About the Role
FNRCO seeks an SQE Advisor to develop and implement strategic business plans for Safety, Quality, Security, and Environment at SANS. The role requires 12+ years of experience in ANS/Aviation, a Bachelor's degree in ANS or Aviation management, and full understanding of ICAO documents and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Recommend and support the development of directorate’s long term strategy in line with the SANS business strategy and objectives
- Contribute to the design of the SQE Directorate’s long term strategy and roadmap
- Suggest and advise on continuous improvement in the development of SQE activities
- Assess SQE directorate’s strategy and plan to support the functional strategy
- Examine the progress of key projects/initiatives and provide guidance to the SQE
- Monitor and assist in addressing issues/challenges in achieving the planned objectives of the SQE directorate
- Participate in SQE directorate’s vision, mission and strategy discussions
- Develop business cases for SQE Directorate projects
- Assist in ensuring that all available resources are utilized to achieve the directorate’s objectives
- Advise on conducting the annual budget for the Directorate
- Perform research on processes and recommend changes in strategy to improve SQE business
- Participate in assisting the management and recommend potential updates of the SQE manuals and documents
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in ANS and/or Aviation business
- Full understanding of ICAO documents & regulations
- A Bachelor's degree in ANS or related field in Aviation management
- Familiar with and have full understanding of GACARs, ICAO documents, regulations & standards or related field

Role Purpose
- To develop and implement the strategic business plan at the SQE Directorate level and to advise, and assist the effective and efficient management of Safety, Quality, Security and Environment in order to drive business growth and performance continuous improvement programs to deliver on SANS’ strate
Key Accountability Planning and Strategy
- Recommend and support the development of directorate’s long term strategy in line with the SANS business strategy and objectives, review the strategy periodically to assess the alignment and drive course correction, if required.
- Contributes to the design of the SQE Directorate’s long term strategy and roadmap.
- Suggest and advise on continuous improvement in the development of SQE activities.
- Assess SQE directorate’s strategy and plan to support the functional strategy.
- Examine the progress of key projects/initiatives and provide guidance to the SQE to provide safe, secure, and efficient management.
- Monitor and assist in addressing issues/challenges in achieving the planned objectives of the SQE directorate.
- Participate in SQE directorate’s vision, mission and strategy discussions with the SQE Executive director and other managers to provide feedback on the direction of the directorate.
Key Accountability Budget
- Develop business cases for SQE Directorate projects.
- Assist in ensuring that all the available resources are utilized to achieve the directorate’s objectives and goals.
- Advise on conducting the annual budget for the Directorate in accordance with the set objectives and business plan.
Key Accountability Safety, Quality & Environment
- Perform research on processes and recommend changes in strategy to improve SQE business.
- Participate in assisting the management and recommend potential updates of the SQE manuals and documents, if required.
- Provide recommendations for ensuring a secure and efficient operation for the staff and equipment requirements.
- Support the SQE Executive Director in ensuring the ongoing development and performance.
- Advise and develop, SQE Directorate’s compliance KPIs to enhance performance.
- Recommend intelligent solutions to enhance the quality of project delivery.
- Research and advise SQE Executive Director to initiate new strategies and plans for the growth of SQE activities.
- Assist in investigating complaints, incidents, accidents, and breaches of air regulations.
Key Accountability Safety Monitoring & Compliance Management
- Recommend continuous improvement and best practices in the safety performance and compliance of ANS.
- Report any breaches and hazardous activities and suggest appropriate measures to prevent nonconformity of ANS.
- Establish the necessary guidelines and boost the importance of safety in ANS operations.
- Advise on enhancement of ANS incidents and reporting system.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, security and environmental management policies and procedures.
- Recommend appropriate distribution of responsibility and workload.
Key Accountability Coordination & Relationship Management
- Provide recommendations to managers regarding procedures and facilities to meet business requirements.
- Promote a high performance working environment embracing SANS’s values.
Key Accountability Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Provide a complete guidance on establishing strategic SQE planning and follow up process of policies, procedures, and controls.
- Recommend management of change through contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes considering leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in ANS and/or Aviation business.
- Full understanding of ICAO documents & regulations.
- A Bachelor's degree in ANS or related field in Aviation management.
- Familiar with and have full understanding of GACARs, ICAO documents, regulations & standards or related field.
