Responsibilities
- Undertake duties in line with philosophy, business practices, and policies of NMCRH KC
- Work as a professional member of a multi disciplinary rehabilitation team and participate in team meetings
- Communicate effectively with staff, health professionals, clients, and families regarding service provision
- Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff
- Participate in continuing education to update Speech and Language Therapy techniques
- Ensure Speech and Language Therapy treatments are evidence based and beneficial
- Record and report any adverse clinical events
- Assist in maintaining a safe workplace and identify/report hazards
- Participate in Quality Management System and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain HAAD license and update professional knowledge to screen, assess, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement linguistically and culturally appropriate strategies for patient care
- Employ strategies to manage Arabic first language speakers
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved college or university in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current license in country of origin and HAAD license to practice in Abu Dhabi
- Minimum 2 years experience in speech and language therapy practice
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Ability to work cooperatively in a group practice within a hospital setting
- Knowledge of range and type of services available for aged or disabled persons
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not essential

- Perform other duties as directed by HOD or Medical team
- Hold appropriate qualifications and HAAD license
- Maintain knowledge to screen, assess, and treat communication and swallowing disorders
- For dual qualifications in Audiology, screen hearing status
- Develop culturally appropriate strategies
- Employ strategies for Arabic first language speakers
Qualification
- Graduate from approved college in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current license in country of origin and HAAD license
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Knowledge of Arabic advantageous
- Ability to work cooperatively in a group practice
- Knowledge of services for aged or disabled persons

- Capacity to review procedures and implement new service delivery models
