- Evaluate patients with hormonal diseases in the Endocrinology Clinic

- Perform endocrinal procedures dynamic hormonal tests in appropriate patients
- Provide consultation/referral services to inpatient services in area of expertise
- Work with patients throughout the entire process from consultation to treatment plan
- Provide supervision and education to staff nurses, patients and technicians
- Participate in quality assurance activities (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review)
Requirements
- At least 3 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
- Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or equivalent

Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
- Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.
- Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.
- To perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.
- To perform his duties in the Endocrinology Clinic, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.
- Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies.
- To perform endocrinal procedures dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient
- To provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise.
- To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.
- Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).
- Orders diagnostic laboratory studies and X ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy
- Participates in and contributes to in service activities such as lectures, conferences and rounds
- Participates in the monthly staff meetings
- Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required by the HOD
Qualifications
- At least 3 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
- Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by relevant UAE healthcare authority. Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
