Michael’s Hospital team as we work to put patients and families at the centre of everything we do, in the role of Speech-Language Pathologist on our Health Disciplines Resource Team (HDRT).

The Speech-Language Pathology Team is a dynamic service across all hospital programs.

We are seeking an experienced clinician to provide assessment and management for adults with swallowing and communication disorders.

As a member of the HDRT Team, you will be supporting corporate coverage of inpatient units over weekends and/or holidays.

• The primary role of a Speech-Language Pathologist is to provide evaluation and management of swallowing and communication disorders. Other activities include:
• Works effectively as a member of an interprofessional team, collaborating with other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Contributes to the academic mandate of the organization as an educator, resource or support for staff and members of the academic and professional community.
• Identifies and addresses educational needs for patients and their families.
• Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development in order to continue to provide optimal patient care.
• Is committed to and participates in ongoing quality improvement and/or research in the organization.
• Provides patient care in accordance with all professional and organizational standards.
• Is committed to providing anti oppressive and accessible care for all patients.

• Must be currently licensed by and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) for practice in all applicable clinical areas.
