The Research Facilities (RF) department is located at St. Michael’s Hospital Research Institute. RF supports researchers by providing office and laboratory space, biosafety support, and biomedical laboratory equipment and infrastructure. The core facility infrastructure includes shared general laboratory equipment, as well as equipment across six specialized cores: cell culture, cytometry/sorting, imaging, histology, genomics, and microfabrication. The Research Facilities department is seeking a candidate to carry out day-to-day administration, compliance, and business operations; maintain and develop promotional and educational content; and facilitate various projects and events within the department.
Note: This is a temporary, full-time position providing leave coverage, beginning November 15, 2026, and ending February 13, 2028.
Monitor the department's email inbox, address issues where possible, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member when needed.
Maintain meeting minutes for the team.
Maintain an up-to-date database of biomedical research staff.
Complete all internal and external billing operations.
Maintain and edit content on the department website.
Investigate and resolve user issues with the RF web-based platform; when bugs require vendor intervention, escalate them to external vendors for technical fixes while maintaining full documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and final solutions throughout the entire process.
Maintain existing web-based training modules and update content as processes evolve.
