Responsibilities
- Act as first level of support for IT interactions between company Canada and third party logistics provider (3PL)
- Serve as SAP subject matter expert for 3PL interfaces and transactions
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with 3PL
- Provide EDI interface and technical support, monitor EDI flows and resolve IDOC errors
- Be the main logistics point of contact for Health Canada and Finance audits
- Analyze, troubleshoot and report OTIF metrics for Human Health
- Work on projects related to cost savings, compliance and customer service
- Monitor KPIs, follow up on missed orders, ensure alignment on shipped and open orders
- Manage inventory control, discards, reconciliations between SAP and 3PL system (SAGE)
- Lead and direct activities related to imports, exports, customs and transportation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Administration or Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
- Good knowledge of international transportation and customs regulations
- Certification in Dangerous Goods and CBSA certified Customs Specialist (preferred)
- Fluency in French is required
- Mastery of SAP environment
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Job Description
- The position holder is responsible for coordinating and managing business transactions between our company Canada Inc. and its third party distribution supplier (3PL).
- The goal is to ensure business continuity to supply the market, following global guidelines, standards and SOPs.
- This position also leads and directs all activities and improvements related to imports, exports, Customs, and transportation.
Major Activities and Responsibilities related to 3PL
- First level of support for IT relationship between company Canada and 3PL regarding daily activity.
- SAP subject matter expert for 3PL interface and transactions.
- Involved with User Acceptance Testing required with 3PL.
- EDI interface/technical support (TIBCO, LIASON) EDI monitoring, IDOC failures.
- Logistics main point of contact for all Health Canada and Finance audits.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and report OTIF metrics for Human Health.
- Work on projects related to cost savings, compliance and customer service.
- Monitor KPI's and follow up on missed orders.
- Responsible for inventory control and management, discards, reconciliations between SAP and 3PL (SAGE).
- Canada logistic claims and throughput analysis.
- Work with 3PL on all inventory, receiving, quality/release concerns.
- Involved in product launch meetings and setup in SAP/SAGE for new products.
Lead and direct activities related to imports, exports, Customs and transportati
- Management of Freight Forwarders for both international and domestic including Customs broker.
- Liaison with company's sites for optimization of import/export shipments and transportation lane setup.
- Coordination of imports and exports.
- Transportation Freight Forwarding troubleshooting and resolution.
- Importer of Record accuracy, Custom requirements and timely release from Customs.
- Communication with Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) as required.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs on matters relating to Health Canada and imports.
- Review all Import and Export documents to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance for Transportation of dangerous good classification under IATA, IMDG regulations.
- Formulate recommendations on improvements and cost saving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Administration or Engineering.
- Five years in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
- Good knowledge and understanding in International Transportation and Custom trade.
- Certified in Dangerous Goods and CBSA certified Customs Specialist (preferred).
- Fluency in French is required.

Compensation
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is CAD 81,280 CAD 121,920.
- Eligibility to discretionary short term incentive plan.
