Specialist – Procurement

Role purpose

Core responsibilities

• Support annual procurement planning and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist with expressions of interest, pre-qualification, commercial bid evaluation, and bidder lists.
• Support preparation of scopes of work and collection of information and documents.
• Organise pre-tender meetings and support bidder site visits.
• Prepare award recommendations and letters of award.
• Handle bidding-period correspondence with input from end users when required.
• Interpret contract terms and conditions.
• Provide administrative support for bank guarantees, insurance, invoices, and related matters.
• Maintain contract logs and files and document agreed changes to tender packages.
• Handle variations and claims and submit contract amendments.
• Support close-out of contractual matters upon completion.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A master's degree is a plus.
• High proficiency in English.
• Working knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
• Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in pre-award and post-award contract management.
