Specialist Cloud Engineer – AWS

In this role as a Specialist Cloud Engineer – AWS at Amgen, you will design, develop, and support cloud-native operations and solutions that enable scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms. You will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, Automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to build innovative solutions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the developer and user experience across Amgen's cloud ecosystem.

Design and implement AI/GenAI-powered cloud solutions, leveraging intelligent agents and workflow automation to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Build, manage, and support cloud platforms and services, ensuring they are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Implement automation, observability, and AIOps capabilities to improve platform reliability, monitoring, and engineering productivity.

Troubleshoot complex production issues, support incident resolution, and perform root cause analysis to enhance service stability.

Work closely with security and engineering teams to implement IAM, encryption, governance, and compliance controls with a security-first mindset.

Contribute to cloud modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives by applying operations/engineering best practices, automation, and technical problem-solving.
