Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures within approved privileges
- Conduct coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and other approved interventional procedures
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and on call cardiology services
- Participate in the management of acute coronary syndromes and cardiac emergencies
- Interpret and report cardiovascular investigations, including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence based practice and clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and clinical handovers
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
- Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention and control, clinical governance, and quality standards
- Participate in quality improvement projects, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and accreditation activities
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Completion of a recognized residency training program in Internal Medicine
- Completion of a recognized Fellowship/Specialty Training in Cardiology
- Subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institution
- Eligible for Specialist – Interventional Cardiology licensure with the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), Qatar
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification
- At least 2 years of post specialty experience in Interventional Cardiology within a governmental, academic, teaching, or tertiary care hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience in performing diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Experience in managing acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI and NSTEMI patients

Position Summary

Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution

Experience
- Minimum experience as required by DHP licensing requirements for the Specialist category
- At least 2 years of post specialty experience in Interventional Cardiology within a governmental, academic, teaching, or tertiary care hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience in performing diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Experience in managing acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI and NSTEMI patients
- Previous experience working in a catheterization laboratory and participating in emergency cardiac services is preferred
