Spatial Front, Inc - Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support our growing team. The RTE serves as the leader and chief facilitator for the Enabling Rail Agile Release Train (ART), helping teams plan, coordinate, and deliver shared services and technical enablers that support mission execution across the broader Solution Train. Unlike a business-feature ART, Enabling Rail provides the cross-cutting capabilities that allow other ARTs to deliver at scale, including environment management, DevSecOps pipeline support, release coordination, production readiness, application security, integration and testing support, business intelligence enablement, and change/training/deployment support.

This role is responsible for facilitating ART events, managing ART, improving flow, managing cross-team dependencies and risks, driving transparency through metrics, and aligning delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders. The RTE will work closely with Product Management, System Architects, Scrum Masters, team leads, Government stakeholders, and partner ARTs to ensure the Enabling Rail supports secure, reliable, compliant, and predictable delivery across a complex government environment that spans NIPRNET and SIPRNET, multiple vendors, and multiple technical platforms.

As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers.

• Facilitate ART-level events and ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and release readiness coordination.
• Serve as the primary ART-level facilitator and manager for the Enabling Rail, helping teams stay aligned on priorities, dependencies, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
• Coach and guide ART teams SAFe 6.0 principles, Lean-Agile practices, flow-based delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and optimize the ART's flow of work, identifying and removing impediments.
• Coordinate closely with Product Management, Business Owners, System Architects, Release Management, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Test, BI, and Change Management leads to align delivery objectives and execution plans.
