Role Overview
As the Space Management Analyst, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners in the development and execution of merchandising solutions that drive business results and position Best Buy as a market leader.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining both Space Planning, Blue Yonder and Visual Merchandising Manager (VMM) planograms that provide SKU placement, fixture detail and merchandising part information across multiple categories to facilitate accurate in-store execution.
Planograms are a foundational merchandising tool providing merchandising flow, enable systematic inventory replenishment, vendor provided parts and product placement along with store specific fixture information, pricing sign types, and graphic details.
You will become an expert in your category of business.
You will influence and educate cross-functional partners on the enterprise merchandising guidelines, customer shopping path, and industry trends.
You will leverage mock-up activities.
You will help drive organizational efficiency by managing and communicating transition timelines and processes.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
The specific work arrangements vary by role and team.

What you’ll do
• Create, monitor, and maintain all planograms for assigned business categories that support the business strategy while adhering to the enterprise merchandising guidelines (including ADA, Pricing, and Product Retention Standards.
• Help define transition scope and allocation of store merchandising team labor throughout the year to ensure the execution of products, graphics and displays.
• Drive the assortment transition process to enable effective merchandising of category resets, iconic launches, and product updates.
• Drive adherence to milestones to support visual merchandising, forecasting, replenishment, driving timely and accurate delivery of product and merchandising elements impacting retail locations.
• Facilitate SKU (product) handoff execution meetings with business partners.
• Provide timely and accurate planogram store counts, planogram version impacts, and details which drive accurate delivery of merchandising graphics and parts.
• Serve as the primary contact for retail store submitted planogram issues, research, and provide solutions.
• Utilize Data Integrity Reporting to manage the accuracy of planogram versions, store ties, and data.
• Actively engaged in the team’s performance management process including development and career planning.
Basic qualifications
• 2 years of experience with product merchandising in a retail environment
• 2 years of experience in space management, category management, inventory planning, visual merchandising, or store design
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Basic qualifications
2 years of experience with product merchandising in a retail environment
2 years of experience in space management, category management, inventory planning, visual merchandising, or store design
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred qualifications
Space Planning, Blue Yonder, Visual Merchandising Manager and/or other Space Management or Visual Merchandising software
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with a working knowledge of Retail, Inventory, Merchandising, or Supply Chain
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
