Role Overview
A culinary team is seeking an experienced and talented Arabic-speaking Sous Chef.
The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, food quality, culinary team supervision, and daily kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing high-quality Arabic cuisine dishes.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff for efficient food production and service.
- Prepare authentic Arabic dishes while maintaining consistency, taste, and presentation standards.
- Monitor food preparation, portion control, and quality standards according to hotel and restaurant guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, stock control, and inventory management.
- Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen team members on Arabic cooking techniques and standards.
- Assist in menu development and suggest improvements based on guest preferences and trends.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage to minimize wastage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine.
