Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist for textiles, garments, fabrics, accessories, uniforms, promotional items, and corporate gifts.
The role focuses on international sourcing, especially from China, India, and other global markets, balancing quality, price, and delivery timing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
- Manage supplier research, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and sample approvals.
- Build long-term supplier relationships in China, India, and other sourcing hubs.
- Ensure supplier quality, compliance, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Coordinate with design, production, and logistics teams for specifications and delivery.
- Monitor market trends, new materials, and product innovations.
- Maintain supplier performance records, cost reports, and sourcing updates.
- Handle import/export documentation, shipping coordination, and customs processes as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- At least five years of international sourcing experience in textiles, garments, and gifting.
- Proven sourcing experience from China and India.
- Exposure to Southeast Asian, Turkish, or European suppliers is an advantage.
- Knowledge of fabrics, garment production, trims, accessories, packaging, import/export, Incoterms, and logistics is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is required.
- Fluent English is required; Hindi is an added advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000 to AED 3,500 per month.
Workplace
- The role is performed in person.
