Role Overview
Akamai is seeking a customer-facing Solutions Engineer II for its presales team in Dubai.
The role identifies customer problems, builds technical champions, and designs cloud and security solutions across Akamai's platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical presales process and demonstrate how Akamai technology solves business problems.
- Architect and execute product demonstrations, Customer Analysis Reports, and proof-of-concept trials.
- Partner with sales and customer executive leadership on customer initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams as a subject matter expert and share technical insights.
- Manage technical proposals and recommend architectures for web, security, and cloud deployments.
Success Requirements
- Experience in technical presales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architect roles supporting enterprise accounts.
- Solid knowledge of internet architectures, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with WAF, DDoS protection, Bot Management, and Zero Trust or remote access architectures.
- Ability to explain complex network and security transformations to developers and C-level executives.
- Professional fluency in Arabic and English.
