Role overview
The Solutions Consultant provides technical leadership and expertise throughout customers' security transformation journeys.
The role is the evolution of a traditional sales engineering position and supports customer value realization.
Responsibilities
- Build strategic technical account plans and support sales quota attainment.
- Position, demonstrate, and design solutions across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio.
- Drive customer adoption and conduct discovery of technical, operational, and commercial requirements.
- Deliver presentations, demos, workshops, and technical validation engagements.
- Coordinate specialists, channel resources, customer support, professional services, and customer success teams.
- Build security architecture transformation roadmaps with technical stakeholders.
- Differentiate Palo Alto Networks solutions in the cybersecurity market.
Experience requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in pre-sales or sales engineering.
- Expertise in at least one of networking, network security, cybersecurity, private or public cloud security, SOC or endpoint security, or SASE.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and gaining buy-in.
- Experience creating technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
