Our Mission
At Palo Alto Networks®, we’re united by a shared mission—to protect our digital way of life. We thrive at the intersection of innovation and impact, solving real-world problems with cutting-edge technology and bold thinking. Here, everyone has a voice, and every idea counts. If you’re ready to do the most meaningful work of your career alongside people who are just as passionate as you are, you’re in the right place.
Who We Are
In order to be the cybersecurity partner of choice, we must trailblaze the path and shape the future of our industry. This is something our employees work at each day and is defined by our values: Disruption, Collaboration, Execution, Integrity, and Inclusion. We weave AI into the fabric of everything we do and use it to augment the impact every individual can have. If you are passionate about solving real-world problems and ideating beside the best and the brightest, we invite you to join us!
Your Impact
Intelligent Provisioning: Configure and support resilient hybrid cloud deployments. You will move beyond manual scripting by adopting AI-driven automation frameworks to make infrastructure delivery more efficient and error-free.
Predictive Scalability: Manage capacity planning and resiliency by adapting AI modeling to forecast resource needs and prevent bottlenecks before they occur.
Autonomous Operations: Maintain service availability and performance SLAs. You will design self-healing systems that leverage AI for automated incident remediation and proactive service monitoring.
Incident Leadership: Lead and manage P1/P2 incident response for all business-critical applications and platforms. You will ensure service availability by driving rapid resolution, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics and automated playbooks to protect global SLAs.
Infrastructure Evolution: Work with other SREs to deploy automation frameworks and create operational runbooks that incorporate Generative AI for faster documentation and knowledge sharing.
Trend Analysis: Design proactive monitoring and alerting systems that use machine learning for deep-dive trend analysis of underlying infrastructure.
Your Experience
Linux Expert: 6–10 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) at scale. Deep knowledge of kernel tuning and system internals is a must.
Automation Specialist: Mastery of Ansible, Chef, or Terraform. You should be comfortable adapting these tools to integrate with AI APIs for intent-based infrastructure management.
Cloud Orchestration: Proven experience provisioning and supporting resilient architectures in at least one major cloud environment (GCP/GKE, AWS, or Azure). You understand how to maintain a cloud footprint that is efficient, secure, and highly available.
Critical Incident Management: Proven track record leading P1/P2 incident bridges and post-mortems for complex, global application stacks. You are an expert at protecting SLAs through technical leadership and automated remediation.
Automated Patching & Security: Lead the end-to-end patching and vulnerability management process. You will be expected to modernize this "much-needed" function by implementing automated, AI-assisted patching cycles that minimize downtime and ensure CIS compliance.
AI Integration: Experience or a strong interest in adopting AI coding assistants (like GitHub Copilot or Claude) to accelerate "vibe coding" workflows—focusing on high-level architecture and intent while AI handles the boilerplate.
API & Scripting : Expertise in developing and managing APIs, with a focus on optimization and security for multi-tier applications.
Security & Hardening: Fluent in Linux security, vulnerability management, and CIS compliance. You understand how to secure infrastructure in an AI-first world.
The Modern Mindset: You possess the "vibe coding" spirit—leveraging AI to solve complex problems faster without losing the critical eye of a senior engineer. You have the passion, drive, and sense of humor to thrive in a global, fast-paced team.
