Role Overview
The role is a six-month contract with likely extensions based in Doha, Qatar.
The position is a senior architecture role for a national digital services programme.
The architect owns how the mobile app, integration layer, and backend connections fit together.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the platform architecture across the mobile application, integration layer, and backend connections.
- Run the process for making and recording architectural and technical decisions.
- Coordinate architecture across more than ten backend systems and organizations with differing technical maturity and priorities.
Technical Skills
- The role requires solution or enterprise architecture experience with substantial hands-on mobile application architecture experience.
- The integration platform is MuleSoft, used as an API and integration gateway.
- The role requires working knowledge of Azure, including AKS/Kubernetes, API Management, Key Vault, Redis, Azure Database for MySQL, and Azure DevOps.
- The role requires understanding of native iOS and Android architecture.
- The role requires knowledge of Entra ID, OIDC, OAuth, national digital-identity login patterns, and enterprise identity.
- The role requires security and data-protection awareness for personal data moving across mobile, integration, and backend systems.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture roles.
- Experience working across multiple organizations with different technical maturity and priorities.
Advantageous Certifications
- MuleSoft Certified Architect or Developer certification is advantageous.
- A cloud architecture certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is advantageous.
- A recognized architecture framework certification such as TOGAF is advantageous.
