Role overview
The role leads solution-level testing efforts and architects end-to-end test automation for integrated cloud and on-premises networking workflows.
The engineer will drive scalable automated quality engineering for the Cisco IQ platform using software development, networking, and GenAI expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end UI, API, and integration test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Lead test planning, scenario modeling, and complex defect triage across Cisco hardware, AWS services, and web portals.
- Embed agentic AI, no-code AI tools, and LLM-assisted generation into test automation pipelines.
- Simulate enterprise network topologies and test L2/L3 protocols, data fabric pipelines, and controller flows.
- Drive CI/CD quality gate integration, defect governance, and mentoring for mid-level software test engineers.
- Debug software issues and create technical and user documentation.
Mandatory qualifications
- Strong knowledge of software testing and testing methodologies.
- Advanced programming skills in Python or Java for framework building, module development, and backend validation.
- Hands-on proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress and with REST Assured or PyTest.
