About the Role
Pactive Sustainable Solutions is hiring a Solar O&M Engineer to manage maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of solar PV sites. The role requires 5+ years of experience in solar PV O&M, strong technical knowledge, and a valid UAE driving license.

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Preventive Planned Maintenance activities across multiple solar PV sites
- Attend and resolve Corrective Maintenance requests within agreed SLA/KPI timelines
- Monitor solar plant performance, energy generation, inverter status, alarms, and overall system health through monitoring platforms
- Conduct technical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis for solar PV and electrical system issues
- Ensure all O&M activities are carried out in line with electrical regulations, permit to work requirements, company HSE procedures, and safety standards
- Coordinate with clients, FM teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities
- Prepare technical and operational reports covering maintenance activities, system performance, faults, risks, and site updates
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, safety, quality, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in solar PV projects/O&M
- Valid UAE Driving License
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical maintenance, monitoring platforms, and HSE requirements
- Strong coordination skills with clients, FM teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports and maintenance updates

Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Preventive Planned Maintenance activities across multiple solar PV sites.
- Attend and resolve Corrective Maintenance requests within agreed SLA/KPI timelines.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently with minimal system downtime and operational disruption.
Plant Monitoring & Performance Management
- Monitor solar plant performance, energy generation, inverter status, alarms, and overall system health through monitoring platforms.
- Review generation trends and identify performance gaps, abnormalities, or efficiency losses.
- Support corrective and improvement actions to optimize plant performance, reliability, and energy output.
Troubleshooting & Technical Resolution
- Conduct technical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis for solar PV and electrical system issues.
- Initiate timely corrective actions to restore system performance and reduce repeated failures.
- Escalate recurring faults, system anomalies, technical risks, and operational constraints to management.
HSE, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all O&M activities are carried out in line with electrical regulations, permit to work requirements, company HSE procedures, and safety standards.
- Promote safe working practices, proper PPE usage, and compliance with site safety requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of solar modules, inverters, cable management systems, mounting structures, and related electrical components.
Stakeholder Coordination & Site Supervision
- Coordinate with clients, FM teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
- Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure work quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with project requirements.
- Attend client and stakeholder meetings to provide technical updates and address operational concerns.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare technical and operational reports covering maintenance activities, system performance, faults, risks, and site updates.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, corrective actions, and performance observations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in solar PV projects/O&M.
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical maintenance, monitoring platforms, and HSE requirements.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical maintenance, and O&M best practices.
- Ability to monitor plant performance, analyze generation data, and identify system issues.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
- Good understanding of HSE procedures, work permit requirements, and safe working practices.
- Strong coordination skills with clients, FM teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports and maintenance updates.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and site supervision skills.
