Role Summary
Candescent is transforming digital banking with a modern, AI-powered platform that empowers financial institutions to deliver smarter, faster, and more personalized customer experiences.
We are seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer with strong e xpertise in Postman-based API testing and automation. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and m aintain scalable API test suites, collaborate closely with backend and DevOps teams, and ensure high-quality, reliable API deliveries across environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive API testing using Postman , covering RESTful endpoints (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), validation of HTTP status codes, response bodies, headers, error handling, edge cases, and JSON/XML payloads, including authentication and authorization using JWT and API Keys .
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites in Postman by writing dynamic and reusable JavaScript-based test scripts , creating and managing collections, environments, variables, pre-request scripts, and parameterized test data.
- Execute and automate API tests using Postman Collection Runner and Newman CLI , generate and analyze HTML and JSON reports , and ensure automation assets are scalable, reusable, and maintainable.
- Version and manage API automation assets (Postman collections, Newman scripts, and test data) using Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket), following standard branching, pull request, code review, and merge practices, with support for CI/CD pipeline integration.
