About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to join our Eight Mile Plains team. This position encompasses both management and technical/design responsibilities. It is responsible for the supervision of a small team and duties are notionally split at approximately 70% technical/design and 30% management. Responsibilities in both aspects of the role are articulated separately below.
What the role will involve
Key Supervisor Responsibilities:
Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to a small team of Application Software Engineers
Instill a sense of urgency within the Application Software Engineering team with a focus on delivery
Prioritise and escalate actions in response to project demands requiring Application Software Engineering input.
Own the application software development schedule and reporting to project/customer stakeholders.
Monitor resource loading within the Application Software Engineering team and report issues to the Software Engineering Group Lead.
Approve leave forms for people within the Application Software Engineering team, after consultation with the Project Manager/s
Provide technical mentoring and leadership for the designs produced by team members.
Support the Software Engineering Group Lead in conduct of Performance Management of the Group through:
