It is responsible for the supervision of a small team and duties are notionally split at approximately 70% technical/design and 30% management.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Lead, mentor and support a small team of Electrical Engineers, ensuring effective delivery, technical excellence and professional development.
- Manage team priorities, workload and resource planning, providing technical leadership and guidance across projects.
- Design, develop and prototype power and control circuits, including programmable logic devices, from concept through to production.
- Produce and review schematics, PCB layouts (Altium), power budgets and engineering documentation.
- Oversee design reviews, verification activities and compliance with performance, quality and reliability requirements.
- Identify and manage technical risks, contributing to project delivery within schedule and budget constraints.
- Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing and external suppliers to support prototype and production activities.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, R&D initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Support quality, regulatory and AS9100 compliance requirements, ensuring designs meet reliability, manufacturability and customer expectations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, security and export control compliance.
