Real impact Throughout this placement, you’ll do everything a Junior Software Engineer does.
And while you build your technical expertise within a specific team from the outset, your impact will be felt throughout the business.

• Learn how modern engineering works in practice, from cloud development and automation to continuous testing
• Help improve the apps, digital journeys, APIs, AI-enabled tools and platforms that people across the bank rely on every day
• Use technology to solve real problems, improve experiences and help the business work better
• Build your confidence as an engineer while learning how software is designed, developed and delivered at serious scale

Requirements What you need to apply:
Be in your penultimate year at university.
While we do not require a set minimum projected degree achievement, we strongly recommend the ability to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge, understanding and technical skills aligned to the role. Some aspects of this will be assessed through the application process.
Knowledge of at least one modern programming language or framework.
A genuine passion for technology and the drive to keep learning.
Locations Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester. With our hybrid working policy, all colleagues spend at least two days a week in the office.
