Role overview
The Software Engineer, SRE will improve the reliability, observability, and performance of critical systems through software engineering.
The role treats system reliability and observability as software problems and uses engineering, automation, and AI tools to reduce toil and improve system health.
The role contributes to reliability and observability practices across the software development lifecycle.
Working arrangement
- The role is eligible for the company's hybrid working from home policy.
Required experience and knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages including Python, Golang, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge and experience of modern software development techniques and lifecycles.
- Excellent knowledge of SRE principles, including effective SLIs and SLOs.
- Knowledge of contemporary observability tools and practices, including Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and system management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience in a large-scale, 24/7 enterprise where system uptime and stability are critical.
