Position Responsibilities
Supports the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, simulation visualizations, virtual environments/platforms and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Supports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated.
Supports designing, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities.
Basic Qualification
Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Ability to obtain security clearance
Essential Skills
Proficiency in C++, Lua Scripting or one of the similar programming languages
Familiarity with Physics based Modelling and Simulation system Engineering principals
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, BitBucket etc).
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with DevOps, Automation and CICD concepts.
Understanding of testing frameworks and unit testing practices.
Desirable
Experience working as a Software Simulation Engineer or a similar role
Experience across Software Development Lifecycle and Software standards such as ISO9001.
Understanding of the distributed interoperability simulation protocols used within defence collective training (e.g., DIS and HLA).
Understanding and experience of the COTS simulation and training environment development, execution, verification, validation and deployments
