Responsibilities
- Plan and execute timely deployment of security patches across core banking platforms, corporate banking systems, and consumer/digital banking applications
- Develop and maintain automated regression test suites for critical applications
- Validate patches and updates prior to release to ensure no functional regressions and system performance stability
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Security Top 10
- Fix security defects identified through SAST/DAST/SCA tools and internal/external security assessments
- Collaborate with development teams to enforce secure coding standards
- Integrate security validation checks into CI/CD pipelines including automated patch validation and security testing gates
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless build and deployment processes and secure release pipelines
- Support implementation of DevSecOps best practices
- Ensure all releases comply with internal security policies and banking regulatory requirements
- Maintain documentation for patch deployments, test results, and security validations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 5 8 years of experience in software engineering or application support, release management and patch deployment
- Experience working with enterprise scale applications
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and OWASP Top 10 & API Security Top 10
- Proficiency in programming/scripting (Java, Python, or similar)

Role Purpose
- The Software Engineer is responsible for ensuring the secure and timely deployment of patches and updates across mission critical banking platforms.
- The role focuses on automating regression testing, remediating application and API vulnerabilities, and embedding security validation into CI/CD pipelines to enable safe and stable releases.
- This position plays a key role in maintaining application security, system stability, and compliance, while supporting continuous delivery in a fast paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute timely deployment of security patches across core banking platforms, corporate banking systems, and consumer and digital banking applications.
- Ensure minimal disruption and high system stability during releases.
- Prepare and maintain release notes, impact assessments, and rollback plans.
- Develop and maintain automated regression test suites for critical applications.
- Validate patches and updates prior to release to ensure no functional regressions and system performance stability.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Security Top 10.

Qualifications & Experience
