Role overview
OSARO is seeking a full-time Senior Robotics Software Engineer to improve the performance and efficiency of its robot control stack.
The role focuses on industrial robotic arms, advanced perception systems, adaptive decision-making, and high-precision pick-and-place applications.
The role involves customer-site travel of approximately 35% of working time.
What you will do
- Direct motion planning and control systems development for industrial robotic arms.
- Design and implement software interfaces with industrial robotic arms for deterministic, real-time performance.
- Lead technical design discussions and code reviews focused on real-time performance and system robustness.
- Collaborate with robotics and controls engineers to develop and validate advanced control algorithms.
- Create production-grade code for performance, robustness, scalability, and near-term deployment.
- Research control strategies to improve the performance, robustness, and versatility of robotic systems.
- Travel to customer sites to manage software deployments.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Infrastructure, and Machine Learning teams on customer integrations.
