• The role is based in Yext's New York City office, with employees expected to come in at least three days per week and flexibility around specific office days.

What You Will Do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through ongoing operation.
• Design, implement, and deploy scalable and reliable systems.
• Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks.
• Suggest improvements to products, systems, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate across engineering and with partners throughout the company.
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
• Use, evaluate, test, and validate AI-assisted development output responsibly.
• Own the correctness, security, maintainability, and standards alignment of AI-assisted work.

What You Have

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent college-level education.
• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
• A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Fluency with Java, C++, Python, or a similar programming language.
• Openness to new technologies, creative solutions, and fast-paced work.
• Ability to critically evaluate technical solutions and AI-generated code or recommendations.
• Experience using or demonstrated interest in learning AI-assisted development tools.
• Sound judgment regarding data privacy, intellectual property, security, and confidential information.

Compensation

• The annual base pay range is $111,600-$229,000 USD.
• Employees may also be eligible for benefits and variable pay programs based on performance.
