Perduron is seeking a senior software engineer to own the distributed core of a local-first platform, including CRDTs, operation logs, sync protocols, and offline-first architecture.

Responsibilities
- Own the data model as convergent state (CRDTs)
- Own the append only operation log
- Own the hybrid logical clock
- Own the hub↔edge sync / anti entropy protocol
- Own the merge logic
- Own the edge node as a true local replica
- Ensure the system operates while disconnected and reconciles on reconnect without human conflict resolution
Requirements
- Must demonstrate consistency models (strong/causal/eventual) and CAP/PACELC tradeoffs
- Must have implemented CRDTs from first principles
- Must have experience with causality, logical/vector/hybrid logical clocks, and conflict resolution
- Must have experience with event sourcing and append only operation log design
- Must have built a sync/anti entropy/replication protocol end to end
- Must have experience with offline first/local first architecture
- Must have built one of: a sync engine, collaborative editing system, offline first app that reconciles, replicated datastore, or database
- Must speak fluently about eventual/causal consistency and CAP/PACELC
- Familiar with Automerge, Yjs, ElectricSQL, or similar
- Senior level has owned a hard consistency problem end to end
- Public CRDT/sync/distributed code to review

Role Overview
- Own the load bearing distributed core of a local first platform: the data model as convergent state (CRDTs), the append only operation log, the hybrid logical clock, the hub↔edge sync / anti entropy protocol, the merge logic, and the edge node as a true local replica.
