Software Engineer - Intermediate

Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Perform application development, unit testing, deployment to development environments, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to projects involving unfamiliar code written by team members.
• Participate in estimation, use-case specifications, test-plan and test-case reviews, requirements, and project planning.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues.
• Document code and processes for maintainability.
• Develop and operate high-scale applications from backend to UI with focus on operational excellence, security, and scalability.
• Apply serverless computing, microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Integrate systems with internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.
• Participate in roadmap and architecture discussions and translate business requirements into solutions.
• Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues.
• Lead Sprint deliverables and solve medium-complexity problems.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with software design and Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• At least 2 years of experience with Maven or Gradle.
• At least 2 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and frontend or web development.
• At least 2 years of experience with software testing, performance, and quality engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Ability to write, debug, and troubleshoot code in mainstream open-source technologies.

Additional Qualifications

• UI development with technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap may set the candidate apart.
• Backend experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and microservices may set the candidate apart.
• Experience with source control, build tools, Agile methods, relational databases, Atlassian tooling, or automated testing may set the candidate apart.
