Software Engineer III, Secure Network Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop services and associated client code, scripts, and tests in a variety of languages (Go, Rust, Bash, etc.) to monitor and verify the security condition of remote networking devices across the Google fleet.

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Rust, C++). - Experience building distributed security systems and available services. - Experience in web services related standards (e.g., HTTP, REST, SOAP, and OAuth). Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. - 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. - Experience with cryptographic algorithms and protocols. - Experience in cyber security domains (e.g., threat hunting, malware analysis, detection engineering, or incident response).
