Build and operate scalable API integrations with financial institutions across Europe.
Work as a hands-on Software Engineer II building, testing, and supporting secure, reliable backend services.
Contribute to scalable solutions and high-quality software operating in production environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and support scalable APIs and backend services.
- Design and implement reliable, maintainable software solutions.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues with guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering standards.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and SRE teams.
- Improve observability, automation, and operational efficiency across services.
- Apply new technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
Technology stack
- Backend technologies include C#, .NET, and Web APIs.
- Cloud technologies include Azure App Services, Key Vault, and Blob Storage, plus AWS S3, Redis, and microservices.
- Data technologies include PostgreSQL and Flyway.
- Engineering practices include CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure development.
- Java, Spring Boot, and AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot are additional technologies.
Required qualifications
- Candidates need 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with backend applications and APIs using modern programming frameworks is required.
- Candidates need familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed-systems concepts.
- Understanding of SDLC, testing practices, and secure coding principles is required.
- The role requires technical problem-solving, collaborative delivery, communication, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in payments, banking, or Open Banking environments is preferred.
- Exposure to microservices architectures is preferred.
- Monitoring, observability, and production support experience is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
