We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer II to join our Hiring Assistant team —one of the most critical bets in Homebase’s future.
This team is reimagining hiring through AI: from candidate discovery to screening to onboarding. You’ll help build intelligent, agentic workflows that reduce friction for small business owners and help workers find better jobs, faster.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll contribute to end-to-end systems , help shape architecture , and drive AI-powered product innovation across the stack (React + Ruby on Rails).

These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role
Support the design and development of scalable full-stack systems using React (frontend) and Ruby on Rails (backend)
Build complex features end-to-end—from ideation to production—focused on Hiring Assistant workflows
Evolve systems that support AI-driven hiring experiences (screening, matching, automation)
Integrate and apply AI/LLM tools, agents, and automation frameworks to improve product capability and team velocity
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver fast, high-quality outcomes
Support technical decision-making, including system design, performance, and scalability
