Software Engineer II - Core Commerce Platform

4+ years of experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise-grade applications, preferably within commerce, order management, inventory or supply-chain domains.

· Hands-on software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot and microservices architectures.

· Strong understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging technologies and integration patterns.

· Experience building reliable, scalable, maintainable and production-grade backend services.

· Practical understanding of design patterns, data structures and algorithms.

· Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and production support.

· Understanding of observability, reliability engineering and performance optimisation.

· Working knowledge of order lifecycle or inventory-management concepts such as availability, reservations, ATP, ATS, allocation or fulfilment.

· Experience integrating with OMS, WMS, ERP, commerce or fulfilment platforms will be an advantage.

· Experience configuring and extending Distributed Order Management Systems (OMS), with Fluent Commerce experience preferred.

· Experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging technologies.

· Experience using coding agents, LLMs or AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software delivery and developer productivity.
