Role Overview
Universal Print is Microsoft's cloud-based print service, integrated with Microsoft 365 and built on the Azure platform.
The Software Engineer will help build and operate production cloud services used by customers globally.
The role provides experience across development, testing, deployment, and live service operation.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain features for a global cloud service with guidance.
- Contribute to backend services and REST APIs using modern engineering practices.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and accompanying unit tests.
- Monitor service health and investigate issues in live environments.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team planning activities.
- Apply security, privacy, and compliance best practices in production services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven coding experience in one or more languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
