Required Experience
- Strong professional experience in firmware or embedded software development in an RTOS environment.
- Experience porting and using RTOS platforms such as Zephyr and FreeRTOS.
- Detailed experience with SoC bring-up, bootloaders, platform initialization, board initialization, and peripheral interfaces.
- Experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of complex hardware-firmware interface issues.
- Experience with hardware and firmware architecture, design, and coding for solutions at scale.
- Experience with code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
- Proficiency with modern software development and test workflows, including CI, GitLab, Makefile, CMake, or TDD.
Technical Skills
- Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems.
- Good understanding of Linux kernel internals and driver architecture.
- Knowledge of CPU architectures including ARM, ARC, and RISC-V, as well as memory maps and register-level programming.
- Experience with Linux or multithreaded RTOS environments.
- Knowledge of bootloaders, boot sequences, board bring-up, and hardware debugging.
- Knowledge of PCIe and CXL high-speed signaling technologies.
- Familiarity with Python or Shell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with JTAG, UART, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Strong working knowledge of Git.
- Good knowledge of OpenBMC and OpenBIC systems.
- Understanding of processors, buses, and computer memories.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with PCIe/CXL validation and debugging is a plus.
- Exposure to ASIC hardware validation and debugging is listed as an additional capability.
