Role Overview
GAC Group IT is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist who will work as a Software Engineer in Dubai.
The role supports application availability and accessibility according to agreed service levels and business priorities.
The primary focus is resolving production issues through debugging and troubleshooting to minimize business impact.
Responsibilities
- Perform second- and third-line application support with development and helpdesk teams.
- Manage incidents, alerts, change requests, and service requests in line with enterprise processes and standards.
- Resolve issues within service levels, provide workarounds, and escalate when needed.
- Keep internal and external customers updated in a proactive and professional manner.
- Participate in application improvements and bug fixes.
- Maintain application functionality and support documentation in the knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of production support experience in application development, software engineering, or technical services.
- At least 2 years of hands-on .NET Core application development experience.
