Role overview
Join Procore's Materials Team within Resource Management as a Software Engineer 2.
Independently own and deliver features for a highly visible Materials platform used by construction teams.
The role reports to the Engineering Manager, Resource Management – Materials.
Responsibilities
- Own complex features from technical design through launch, with occasional guidance from senior engineers.
- Build data-import and ingestion workflows, including integrations with ERP systems.
- Write tested C# backed by PostgreSQL and use Temporal for reliable workflow orchestration.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Contribute to technical design, work breakdown, prioritization, and customer-facing feature delivery.
- Use Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate quality software development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with a strongly typed, object-oriented language such as C# or Java.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to seek feedback.
