Role Overview
The Data Intelligence team within Amazon Customer Service defines and implements data strategy and applies GenAI, machine learning, ontology, and NLP to customer service experiences and technologies.
This Software Development Manager role leads software development for an AI and ML development platform that supports production AI agents and models.
Platform Focus Areas
- Develop compute, orchestration, runtime, model-serving, agent-framework, and secure tooling layers for production AI agents.
- Build internal developer tooling for evaluation, experimentation, observability, and CI/CD across AI workloads.
- Develop security, compliance, identity propagation, data governance, and operational solutions for the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the technical strategy and long-term vision for the Data Intelligence technical foundation.
- Partner with science, product, data engineering, and business intelligence leaders to influence technical direction.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to drive technical innovation.
- Hire, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering talent.
- Drive operational and engineering excellence in security, quality, and engineering best practices.
