Opportunity Overview
RBC is hiring for a development role with mixed quality engineering responsibilities within the Risk IT team.
The position supports complex, mission-critical applications and requires understanding of both front-end and back-end systems.
The technology platform includes Windows, Linux, Python, Java, Hive, and Microsoft SQL.
Development and Quality Engineering
- Lead timely delivery of releases, improvements, and transformation initiatives across development and quality engineering activities.
- Design and architect solutions for credit risk reporting applications, develop database structures, and review specifications.
- Develop microservices and data-processing jobs, conduct code reviews, and contribute to unit test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and test automation tools.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts from complex requirements and business user stories.
- Use JIRA, Confluence, and qTest for test case management, defect management, and test reporting.
- Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and business partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.
