RBC is hiring for a software development role with mixed quality engineering responsibilities within the Risk IT team.
The role supports complex, business-critical applications and requires understanding of both front-end and back-end systems.
The technology environment includes Windows, Linux, Python, Java, Hive, and MS SQL.
What You Will Do
- Lead timely delivery of releases, improvements, and transformation initiatives in development and QE.
- Design and architect solutions for credit risk reporting applications.
- Develop database structures, microservices, and data-processing jobs.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to unit test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and test automation tools.
- Create test plans, cases, and scripts from complex requirements and user stories.
- Use JIRA, Confluence, and qTest for test and defect management and reporting.
- Collaborate with QA teams, stakeholders, and business partners throughout delivery.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a QE, development, or equivalent technical role, including 2 years of lead experience.
