Role Overview
The Advertiser Growth Engine team builds Amazon Advertising services and applications that help clients advertise across countries.
The team develops localization and agentic advertising capabilities using scalable services, machine learning, and natural language processing.
This is a mid-level Software Development Engineer II role with responsibility for solutions from inception through delivery and operational excellence.
The role includes mentoring junior engineers and fostering innovation and high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement software across requirements gathering, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Write maintainable code and participate in constructive code reviews that raise engineering standards.
- Diagnose operational issues, identify root causes, and drive permanent reliability and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and peer engineers to understand customer needs and deliver solutions.
- Mentor team members on software practices, system design tradeoffs, and effective use of generative AI tools.
