About the Role
Purplle is building resilient, AI-native systems designed to absorb failures, self-heal, and scale predictably.
The role is an SDE I Backend position for engineers with 1–3 years of backend engineering experience.
The engineer is expected to take ownership of reliable backend services, system performance, security, and operational quality.
Engineering Mindset
- The role emphasizes quality, resilience, AI-assisted development, data-informed engineering, security, governance, and proactive collaboration.
- Engineers are expected to use AI tools to improve productivity while focusing human judgment on system design and architecture.
- The role requires attention to change failure rates, incident reduction, latency, cloud costs, and repository security.
Specific Mandate
- Use Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude to accelerate Node.js and Golang microservice development.
- Build high-throughput, event-driven microservices with Kafka and Redis and implement resilience patterns.
- Optimize MySQL and MongoDB schemas and queries for low latency and predictable infrastructure costs.
- Take features from design documents through Kubernetes deployment with strong reliability practices.
