Role Overview
The Software and Systems Engineer role is based in Derby on a hybrid, full-time, permanent basis.
The role supports the design, delivery, and operation of aerospace test facilities, with a focus on testing software developed by the team.
The Measurement and Test Engineering organization delivers infrastructure for testing civil and defence gas turbine engines.
Team and Technology Context
The Experimental Systems team delivers measurement and control system technologies for aerospace test facilities.
The software team develops applications for planning, conducting, monitoring, and reporting engine tests and their data.
The team also manages IT infrastructure supporting the test facilities and provides data systems and services across the product lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Build automated test frameworks.
- Develop applications and data pipelines.
- Integrate IT systems, including networks, data movement, and storage.
- Support measurement and control system integration, including high-speed data acquisition.
- Use DevOps for CI/CD within an Agile framework.
