Purpose

  • The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that strengthen brand presence, engage audiences, and support business objectives.
  • The role focuses on creating impactful content, managing online communities, monitoring trends, and analyzing performance to continuously improve digital engagement.
  • The Social Media Specialist works closely with marketing, communications, customer engagement, and design teams to ensure a consistent brand voice and create meaningful connections with the audience.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business and marketing objectives.
  • Create and maintain social media content calendars across all relevant platforms.
  • Plan, create, publish, and optimize content across all social media platforms.
  • Manage day to day social media activities and content schedules.
  • Drive brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Create, edit, and publish engaging content including posts, stories, videos, graphics, and campaigns.
  • Ensure all content reflects the organization's brand identity, tone of voice, and messaging guidelines.
  • Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and content creators to produce high quality content.
  • Adapt content for different social media platforms and audience segments.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster positive relationships with followers, customers, and online communities.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Content Marketing are an advantage.
  • 2 4 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or a related role.
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube.
  • Experience developing and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong content creation, copywriting, and storytelling abilities.
