Role Overview
The analyst works on the front line of 24x7 SOC operations protecting enterprise clients against active threats.
The role focuses on alert triage, investigation, incident response, escalation, documentation, and operational improvement.
SOC Operations
- Monitor and analyze SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security alerts across client environments.
- Triage, validate, and investigate alerts according to SLA requirements and P1-P4 prioritization frameworks.
- Execute containment, response, and remediation actions using SOC runbooks.
- Manage incidents through documentation, status updates, and closure in the case management system.
- Monitor SOC communications and coordinate responses with stakeholders.
- Escalate high-severity and complex incidents, including immediate notification for potential P1 or P2 cases.
- Conduct shift handovers that transfer active and critical case context completely.
- Report operational gaps, anomalies, and delays to relevant leads within the same shift.
- Identify gaps in detection, logging, automation, and case handling to support continuous improvement.
