Skilled Labourers / Support Equipment Operators

Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.

Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs.

Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.

Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.

Duties and Resp onsibilities:

Setting up work areas with signage and marking out hazards.

Carrying and delivering construction materials.

Shoveling soil and/or equipment tracks.

Flagging and traffic control.

Shooting grade.

Equipment watch

Hand excavation around facilities and erosion control installation, working with geotextile materials.

Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, other operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies by d emonstrating a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel. Perform JSA and FLHA’s as required.

Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.

Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.

Operate 2-way radio

Assist ground personnel as / when required.

Other duties as / when assigned

Experience / Qualification Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a construction labourer on projects in heavy civil earthworks , construction, road building or mining industry is required.

Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license, and a clean 3-year abstract.

Ability to interpret Survey layout would be an asset.

Experience operating a packer would be preferred.

Employment Type: Project-Based Construction Role

This position is tied to a specific project and its duration, concluding upon completion of the project or the incumbent’s role within it. As Morgan maintains ongoing projects, there is a possibility of placement on another project where a suitable opportunity exists; however, continued or future employment is not guaranteed.
